Ana Luisa Nunes de Alencar Osorio Castañon is an experienced advisor and researcher specializing in river and morphodynamics, currently employed at Deltares since May 2023. Prior professional roles include serving as a Water Management Advisor at H2Opinion and a PhD Student focusing on river training structures at TU Delft, where responsibilities encompassed hydraulic evaluation and river modeling. Ana Luisa has also held key positions as a Hydraulic and Hydrology Engineer at the Departamento Nacional de Infraestrutura de Transportes, where project design for drainage systems was a primary focus. Additional experience includes training with the US Army Corps of Engineers on hydraulic modeling and various engineering roles related to hydrology and hydraulic structures in both roadway and hydro power sectors. Ana Luisa holds a Master's in Hydrology and Hydraulics and a Civil Engineering degree from Universidade de Brasília, complemented by an exchange semester at Université de Sherbrooke.
