Christopher Wittmann is a PhD candidate at Deltares, focusing on improving sponge functioning on a landscape scale in European catchments as part of the SpongeScapes project. With extensive experience in wetland restoration and water resource management, Christopher has worked as a project engineer at Planungsgesellschaft Scholz + Lewis mbH, where responsibilities included the design and planning of wetland restoration measures and stakeholder liaison.
