Pouria Pirzadeh

Pouria Pirzadeh has extensive experience in engineering and software development, currently holding a position at DeltaStream, Inc. since February 2021. In addition to this role, Pouria serves on the Project Management Committee for Apache AsterixDB at The Apache Software Foundation since 2014. Previously, Pouria worked as a Software Engineer at Microsoft from March 2016 to February 2021, and held positions at UC Irvine as a Staff Research Associate and Graduate Student Researcher from 2009 to 2016. Additional experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at Oracle from October 2013 to July 2015, and a Research Intern position at NEC in 2010. Pouria earned a PhD in Computer Science from UC Irvine in 2015, following a Master's degree in the same field from the same institution in 2009.
