Helmut Hugel

Helmut Hugel is an experienced professional in the telecommunications and energy sectors, currently serving as the IoT & Smart Solutions BU Director and Key Account Manager at Deltatel since January 2018. Previously, Helmut held various significant roles, including Member of the Board at S.C. Electrocentrale S.A. Constanta and Expert/Counselor at the Ministry of Energy, where responsibilities included documentation for privatization processes. Helmut's earlier experience features leadership positions at Mira Telecom, Cassidian, and Alcatel-Lucent, managing technical sales support and bid management across Southeast Europe. Additionally, Helmut contributed to strategic development at Cosmote/Romtelecom as Executive Director of Development. Helmut holds a PhD in Electronics and Telecommunications from Universitatea „Politehnica” din Timișoara.
