Anthony Calderone

Anthony Calderone started their career in 1991 as a Project Engineer at Law Engineering / Law-Crandall, Inc. Anthony performed various evaluations and testing of building systems and components, designed remedial solutions, and prepared contract documents for construction. Anthony also played a crucial role in providing structural stabilization and retrofit solutions for damaged structures after the 1994 Northridge Earthquake.

In 1994, Anthony joined KGA, Inc. as an Associate Engineer, where they conducted destructive testing, prepared specifications and drawings for remedial repairs in residential and commercial development projects.

Anthony then worked at the University of California, Berkeley as a Staff Research Associate and Graduate Student Assistant from 1995 to 1998.

Returning to KGA, Inc. in 1998, Anthony served as Vice President until 2006, overseeing various engineering services.

From 2006 to 2017, they worked at TIAA as the Director of Engineering Services.

From 2009 to 2016, they also served as a Committee Member for the Code Advisory Committee at the State of California Building Standards Commission.

In 2017, Anthony joined Nuveen as the Director of Engineering & Construction. In this role, they managed engineering, construction, and environmental matters for the commercial real estate investment and asset management strategies of the company. Anthony oversaw ground-up developments and managed technical teams and third-party professionals for projects of various sizes. Anthony also worked collaboratively with different teams to achieve platform goals and developed technical standards for investment management, development, and facilities operations.

Currently, Anthony is working at LBA Realty as the Vice President of Construction & Engineering since November 2020.

Anthony Calderone has a Master of Science degree in Civil (Structural) Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Anthony also holds a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors in Architectural Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including being a registered civil engineer in Arizona, California, and Nevada. Anthony is also a certified building inspector and a neutral technical expert. Furthermore, they are registered as a disaster service worker in the state of California and as a professional engineer in Texas.
