Sarah Carden has a diverse work experience in the field of biopharmaceuticals and biosciences. Sarah is currently working as a Principal Scientist in Biology at DEM Biopharma, Inc. since July 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Scientist in Immuno-oncology at Evelo Biosciences from May 2021 to September 2022. Before joining Evelo Biosciences, they worked at Cygnal Therapeutics as a Senior Scientist from March 2021 to May 2021 and as a Scientist from August 2018 to March 2021. Sarah also has experience as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital, where they focused on gastrointestinal biology and conducted research on inflammatory bowel disease, mucosal immunology, and microbiota-host interactions from January 2017 to August 2018.
Sarah Carden completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology (Concentration: Cell biology) from Dartmouth College, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. Sarah then pursued further studies and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Microbiology and Immunology from Stanford University, where they were enrolled from 2010 to 2016.
