Daniel Johnson Gaicd

Daniel Johnson GAICD has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Daniel served as the Chief Information Officer at Dementia Australia from October 2018 to present, managing and supporting the needs of those affected by dementia. Prior to that, they held the same position at MTC Australia from February 2016 to August 2018, overseeing IT and operational management, strategic planning, and implementing cost-saving measures. Daniel also worked as a Consultant at Bell Shakespeare in January 2016, focusing on improving IT services and future technology direction. Daniel served as the Head of Information Systems at Sydney Opera House from August 2011 to November 2015, managing various technology aspects and building relationships across the organization. Before that, they held the role of IS Operations Manager at Sydney Opera House from December 2007 to August 2011, achieving cost savings, implementing power management solutions, and enhancing service availability. Daniel started their career as a Systems Analyst at John Swire & Sons Pty Ltd from 2005 to 2007, where they handled database maintenance, disaster recovery, and project management. Daniel also worked as a Systems Administrator at NSW Police Credit Union from 1998 to 2005.

Daniel Johnson GAICD completed the Company Directors Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2023. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on Human Resource Management from the University of Southern Queensland from 2012 to 2015. Daniel also holds a Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) degree from the same university, which they obtained from 2001 to 2007.
