Deborah C. Mash is a distinguished academic and entrepreneur with extensive experience in the fields of neurology and neuropharmacology. Currently serving as a Research Professor at Nova Southeastern University since April 2018, Mash also founded and leads DemeRx, Inc. as CEO since October 2017. Prior to these roles, Mash founded and directed the University of Miami Brain Endowment Bank from January 1987 to March 2018, contributing significantly to the NIH National NeuroBioBank by providing valuable postmortem brain and tissue specimens for research. Additional prior positions include Professor of Neurology and Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology at the Miller School of Medicine, with a notable history as President and CEO of Novoneuron Inc. from 1996 to 2009. Educational credentials include a PhD in Neuropharmacology and Neuroscience from the University of Miami and a postdoctoral fellowship in Neurology and Neuroanatomy from Harvard Medical School.
