Megan J. Uzzell

Megan Uzzell is an experienced strategic initiatives and external affairs director at Democracy Forward, where responsibilities include engaging clients, coalitions, and elected officials to maximize organizational impact, as well as managing relationships with congressional staff. Prior experience includes roles at the U.S. Department of Labor, where Uzzell served as associate deputy secretary and deputy assistant secretary, and leadership positions in the Office of Congresswoman Hilda L. Solis and the National Environmental Trust. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in International Affairs from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, International Relations, and Political Science from Drake University. Uzzell also studied at the Universität Freiburg through the Institute for the International Education of Students.
