María Inés Taracena

María Inés Taracena has a diverse work experience in media, beginning in 2012 as an Intern and Freelance Reporter for Tucson Weekly. María Inés then worked as a Radio Reporter and Online Editor for Arizona Public Media in 2013. In 2014, they became a Reporter and Writer for Tucson Weekly. From 2016 to 2019, they worked as a Freelance Journalist. In 2019, they joined Democracy Now! Productions as a News Producer and News Production Fellow. Most recently, in 2020, they became a Contributing Writer for Prism.

María Inés Taracena obtained their Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Arizona in 2012. María Inés then went on to obtain their Master's degree in Latin American Studies from the University of Arizona in 2018.
