Justin Pitts has a diverse range of work experience, starting with their role as an Intern in the Office of Communications for Governor Roy Barnes in 2000. Justin then went on to work as a High School Teacher for Teach For America from 2003 to 2008. In 2009, they became the Deputy Campaign Manager for DuBose Porter for Governor. Justin then interned at Amnesty International Ireland and the European Network of National Human Rights Institutions (ENNHRI) in 2012 and 2013, respectively. From 2014 to 2016, they worked at the Center on National Security at Fordham Law as a Consultant and Dean's Fellow, where they conducted research, managed events, and provided editorial assistance. Justin joined the Democratic Party of Georgia in 2016 as a Regional Field Director, and later became the Director of Party Affairs from 2018 to 2022. Currently, Justin holds the position of Deputy Executive Director with the Democratic Party of Georgia. Justin'smost recent work experience includes serving as the Campaign Manager for Cathy Woolard's Atlanta Mayoral campaign in 2017 and as the Field Director at the same campaign earlier that year.
Justin Pitts obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History from The University of Georgia in the years 2002 to 2003. Justin then pursued further education at Fordham University School of Law, from 2011 to 2014, where they successfully completed their Doctor of Law (JD) degree in the field of Law.
