Julian Kaljuvee has a long and varied work experience. In 1996, they began as a Business Analyst Intern at McKinsey & Company. In 2005, they moved to Goldman Sachs as a Quantitative Analyst. In 2007, they Co-Founded Bondora.com, the first and now leading consumer investment and credit marketplace in Europe. In 2013, they Co-Founded EstateGuru.co, a marketplace facilitating short- and mid-term property secured loans to SMEs and property developers. In 2014, they worked as a Data Scientist/Engineer at the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG). In 2018, they worked as a Data Science/Engineer Consultant at Predictive Labs Ltd, consulting on data science and engineering efforts for clients. In 2021, they became a Scientific Collaborator at SENS Research Foundation, supporting data infrastructure and predictive modelling efforts. Julian also became an Advisor at LandEx.ai, an investor in and advisor to one of the first fractional land investment platforms in Europe. In 2022, they became CTO and Head of Data + Risk at Denario, working with the management team to implement the product road map and developing AML/transaction monitoring as well as credit risk methodology.
Julian Kaljuvee completed their high school education at Lycée franco-finlandais d'Helsinki and their middle school education at Gustav Adolf Grammar School. Julian then went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Applied Mathematics at Harvard University and a Master of Science (M.S.) in Statistics and Probability Theory at Columbia University. Additionally, Julian Kaljuvee has obtained certifications from Coursera in Anomaly Detection in Time Series Data with Keras, Predict Sales Revenue with scikit-learn, and Principal Component Analysis with NumPy, all obtained in December 2020.
