John Matthews

John Matthews is an accomplished human resources professional with extensive experience in various HR roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as the Director and HR Department Head at Dendreon since June 2022, John has previously held senior HR positions at Blue Shield of California and Irving Oil, where responsibilities included talent acquisition and HR business partnership initiatives. John’s career began at J.D. Irving, Limited, contributing to HR management and recruitment processes. John holds a Master of Business Administration from Dalhousie University and additional qualifications in Human Resource Management and Hospitality and Tourism Management from the University of New Brunswick and New Brunswick Community College.
