Born in 1967, BÖCÜGÖZ graduated from Boğaziçi University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration in 1989. Bora BÖCÜGÖZ, who started her career at Garanti Bank as Assistant Specialist in 1989, worked as Assistant Manager of Capital Markets Department at Esbank between 1990-1994, Assistant Manager of Bank Ekspres Securities Department in 1994, and Manager of Securities Department at Toprakbank between 1994-1997. Between 1997 and 2002, he served as Treasury Coordinator and Deputy General Manager of Fund, Resource Management and Marketing Department at Kentbank.
