Alyssa Reese

Alyssa Reese is currently a Research Assistant at Legal Assistance Of Western New York, Inc. (LawNY), where involvement includes the creation of a Maternal-Perinatal Medical-Legal Partnership and studying intervention outcomes. Concurrently, Alyssa serves as a Social Media Ambassador for the American Medical Women's Association and is a member of the Global Health and Surgery Committee at Physicians for Human Rights. Previous research roles span several disciplines, including plastic surgery, medical cannabis, bilingual linguistics, and child welfare. Alyssa has a strong educational background, pursuing a Doctor of Medicine at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo, along with dual degrees in Biomedical Sciences and Legal Studies.
