Kyle Ettinger is a versatile engineering professional with a strong background in optics and mechanical design. Currently serving as a Research Assistant in the Lightweight Optics Lab at the University of Arizona, Kyle focuses on developing advanced measurement tools for thermal expansion using innovative manufacturing techniques. Previous internships include roles at Neuralink, where Kyle developed an OCT system, and Zygo, where contributions to optomechanics and algorithm programming were made. As the founder of Aero Extinguish, Kyle engineered a drone for fire detection and extinguishing. Experience also includes mechanical design engineering at Tesla and contributions to various projects in drone technology and mechanical engineering. Kyle holds a Master of Science in Optical Science from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines.
