Joris is a passionate and dedicated creative director with a proven track record in creating impactful campaigns for leading international brands, including Heineken, KPN, Volvo, Volkswagen, Philips, Mars, KLM, Vodafone, Adidas, and Unilever. He began his career at BBDO Amsterdam in 2008. In 2010, Joris and his partner won a Gold Lion with 'Mars Messages' which marked the start of a highly awarded career.
Following a stint in Brussels, Joris returned to Amsterdam in 2012 to join DDB & Tribal. There, he created 'Volkswagen Das Hund,' which became the second most-viewed ad on YouTube in the Netherlands in 2013, alongside notable campaigns for KLM and Heineken. At Ogilvy Amsterdam, Joris's 'Volvo Lifesaver' campaign contributed to the agency becoming the Most Awarded Dutch Agency at Cannes Lions in 2021.
Since joining Dentsu in 2021, Joris has been instrumental in elevating the agency’s creative output. Dentsu won 'Agency of the Year' in the Netherlands in 2023 and secured a Cannes Lions Grand Prix in 2024 for KPN's 'Piece of Me.' Other major wins include a European Effie Grand Prix, as well as securing the Dutch Ministry of Defense account, solidifying Dentsu Creative’s position as a premier agency.
