Larry E. Gillespie, II is President & Chairman of the Board for Isobar Public Sector, a global practice at dentsu that delivers end-to-end digital transformation & IT modernization capabilities for U.S. federal and government clients, including the U.S. Air Force, Air National Guard and the U.S. Army.

A veteran digital transformation executive, Larry has over 20 years of experience steering large-scale transformations and customer experience innovations for commercial and public sector organizations. A proven leader, Larry has an accomplished record of success in leading high-performing teams, delivering digital solutions and services that drive value and lead to new businesses. Larry has pioneered new marketing models for industry—integrating strategy, creative, digital technology, design, and media disciplines—that orchestrate people, processes and technologies to improve business outcomes.

Prior to joining dentsu, Larry served as Managing Director at EY, where he led large digital and technology transformation initiatives, omni-channel commerce and digital marketing efforts for customers in the government, automotive, media and consumer products sectors.

Before EY, Larry was the Digital Practice Lead and Chief Marketing Officer for Booz Allen Hamilton’s Strategic Innovation Group (SIG) — a newly formed division with a mandate to drive innovation and new digital capabilities. Larry led a team of over 160 digital, technology and creative professionals, developing the brand identity, digital marketing, storytelling, user-experience and brand activation for the division’s digital offering, which also included a strategic partnership with Adobe.

Larry also served as Vice President of Interactive at MJM Creative Services, a WPP company, where he led both creative and technical teams in delivering interactive solutions for clients in the life sciences and consumer products sectors. He led engagements developing enterprise social platforms, streaming media, e-business portals and virtual training applications.

Before transitioning into the digital industry, Larry began his career as an architect at the Washington, DC-based firm DBI Architects. Soon after, he became Chief Technology Officer and oversaw the implementation of company-wide information systems.

Larry has a Bachelors in Architecture from Hampton.
