Philip Filippopoulos has deep experience in the advertising and marketing industries, and in the agency and client service sectors. He joined Omnicom in 1998 and rapidly rose to executive positions within the group.
Prior to joining dentsu in 2016, Philip was the Chief Financial Officer at BBDO Canada where he led Finance, IT and Operations. His experience spanned strategic planning, treasury, operational finance, commercial finance, financial planning and analysis, business integration, as well as mergers and acquisitions. Under his tenure, Philip oversaw the double digit growth of BBDO as well as numerous network initiatives, including business unit integration and the launch of new brands.
As the COO/CFO at dentsu Canada, Philip worked in close partnership with the CEO in developing strategy and leading initiatives to accelerate overall growth, while overseeing all financial and operational aspects of the business. In both roles, Philip drove transformation, strong results and positive outcomes across the business in Canada. Most recently he led the evolution of the business aligning all brands into three service lines optimizing our business model for the benefit of our clients and our people.
As the Americas CFO, and a key strategic partner to the Regional CEO, Philip leads the initiative to grow the business through revenue enhancement and achievement of healthy margins while supporting the growth and reshaping of the business portfolio in the regions across service lines. He leads a high-profile team of Market, Service Line and Cluster Finance Leaders championing the strategic initiatives for dentsu International and instilling a sense of operational excellence across the Finance teams in the region.
