Unmesh Pawar has a diverse range of work experience spanning over several years. Unmesh is currently working as the Chief People Officer South Asia at dentsu international, where their responsibilities include building talent expertise and shaping the culture journey to attract and retain top talent.
Prior to their current role, Unmesh worked as an Advisor, Mentor, and Angel Investor at Neev Angels. Unmesh also had a tenure at KPMG India, where they served as an Investor, Mentor, and Advisor, followed by a role as Partner - CHRO. During their time at KPMG, Unmesh was responsible for the People Strategy and execution of a progressive people agenda.
Unmesh also has a significant amount of experience at Accenture, where they held various leadership roles. Unmesh served as the Global Managing Director of Human Resources for the Products Operating Group, as well as the Global Managing Director for Talent Acquisition. Unmesh also held positions as the Managing Director of Human Resources for Accenture Operations Growth Platform and the HR Head for India BPO.
Before their time at Accenture, Unmesh worked at Mastek as the SBU-HR Lead, where they supported subsidiaries of the company across various regions. Unmesh also worked at Tata Share Registry Limited as a Senior HR Generalist, where they were involved in setting up a technology education business.
Throughout their career, Unmesh has demonstrated a strong focus on talent management, people strategy, and building high-performing and engaged teams. Their expertise extends to areas such as HR operations, talent acquisition, and human capital strategy.
Unmesh Pawar began their education at St. Mary's High School in Mumbai, where they obtained their SSC degree from 1983 to 1988. Following this, they attended Lala Lajpatrai College of Commerce & Eco in Mumbai from 1988 to 1993, earning a BCOM degree with a focus on commerce, accounting, and economics. Unmesh then pursued further education at the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS) from 1997 to 2000, completing a three-year executive program in Human Resources Management and Development (MHRDM). In 2007, Unmesh attended Results Coaching Systems for an intensive coach training program in executive coaching. Lastly, they enrolled at the Indian Academy for Organization Development - Sumedhas from 2008 to 2010, studying Organization Development, although it is mentioned that the degree is still in progress.
