Joanne Leong has a rich and diverse work experience in the advertising and media industry. Joanne began their career at Zenith as a Communications Planner and Assistant Planner from February 2007 to November 2009. Joanne then moved on to PHD Media, where they worked as a Strategy Supervisor and Account Strategist from November 2009 to February 2012.

After that, Joanne joined Carat USA, where they held the role of Associate Director/Communications Planning Supervisor. During their time at Carat USA, they focused on clients such as P&G (Gillette) and played a key role in designing and implementing communication and media strategies based on deep consumer insights. Joanne was also a member of Route 500, a high-potential leadership development program for DentsuAegis global employees.

Joanne's most recent role has been with dentsu, where they have held various positions. Joanne started as the Director of Global Media Partnerships from April 2018 to July 2020, leading the team in delivering transformative value to the DAN network and clients through partnerships with major media companies. Later, they became the VP, Director of Global Media Partnerships from July 2020 to July 2022, leading dentsu's market-leading Attention Economy program, which focuses on developing attention-based capabilities and advocating for a fairer media value system. Currently, Joanne is the Senior Vice President and Global Head of Planning at dentsu, starting in October 2022.
