Simone Gordon, PMP has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Simone began their career in 2000 as an Administrative Assistant/Receptionist at the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless. From 2003 to 2007, they worked as the Lead Tutor/Volunteer Coordinator at the Adelante Hispanic Study Skills Program at Boulder High School. In 2007, Simone joined Elevations Credit Union as a Bilingual Financial Services Representative and later transitioned to the role of Executive Administrative Assistant II and Training and Human Resources Assistant.
In 2011, Simone joined the Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA), where they held multiple roles over a span of 11 years. Simone started as an Audience Development Coordinator and later became a Marketing Coordinator. In 2013, they transitioned to the role of Project Manager and eventually held the position of IT Program Manager. Currently, Simone serves as the Associate Director of IT - Project Management and Business Relationship Management at DCPA. In this role, they oversee the management of relationships between the IT Team and the business teams, aligns business strategy with technical capabilities, and leads the IT organization's Helpdesk team.
Simone Gordon, PMP, holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Musical Theatre from the University of Colorado Boulder, which they attained between 2003 and 2007. In 2013, they pursued a Project Management Certificate in Project Management at Colorado State University. Additionally, Simone obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in November 2015.
