Julie Stephens

Julie Stephens has over two decades of educational experience, currently serving as a Middle School Principal for Denver Public Schools since June 2020. Prior to this role, Julie was Assistant Principal at Aurora Public Schools, focusing on instructional leadership and diverse education initiatives. Earlier in the career, Julie worked as an RtI/MTSS Coordinator and classroom teacher for Denver Public Schools, enhancing academic support systems and fostering a collaborative school culture. Julie holds a Bachelor of Arts in English/Language Arts Teacher Education from Virginia Tech and two master's degrees in Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Leadership from the University of Phoenix and Regis University, respectively. Julie's leadership emphasizes Restorative Justice, equity, and culturally responsive pedagogy to address bias and support the diverse needs of students.
