Philippe Pichery

Elected for 3 years by his peers, the President of the Departmental Council holds executive power. The president is responsible for preparing and executing the deliberations (decisions) of the Departmental Council and directs the meetings of the assembly. It is also he who orders expenditure, initiates actions, signs contracts on behalf of the Departmental Council, etc. The president also directs the departmental administration, supported by the director-general of services.
