Melissa Walker

Melissa Walker has over two decades of experience in child welfare and community service, currently serving as the Northeast Region Community Director for the Florida Department of Children and Families since July 2000. In this role, Melissa manages various programs, including the Family Safety Program Office and the Office of Child Care. Melissa has a strong background in contract management, having served as a Regional Contracts Supervisor with extensive experience since 2005, as well as prior roles in quality assurance, licensing, and data analysis. Earlier career positions include work as an Addictions Counselor at FACTS, Inc. and in court administration. Melissa holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida.
