Patrick Collins

Patrick Collins, MBA has extensive experience in the financial industry, primarily in credit unions. Patrick began their career in 2009 at NCUA, where they served as a Federal Examiner and later as a Principal Examiner. In these roles, Patrick conducted examinations of large and complex credit unions, ensuring their safety, soundness, and insurability. Patrick successfully managed teams of examiners and specialized in Asset/Liability Management (ALM), Investment Strategies, and Capital Markets. Patrick utilized various ALM models to assess interest rate risk and evaluated investment strategies to increase yield while mitigating risk. Patrick also wrote reports and delivered formal presentations to the Board of Directors to communicate examination results and drive change. In 2015, Patrick joined the Department of Commerce Federal Credit Union, initially as the Chief Financial Officer and later taking on the role of Chief Executive Officer in 2023.

Patrick Collins, MBA, attended Georgetown University McDonough School of Business from 2018 to 2020. Patrick earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on EMBA 25. Prior to their MBA studies, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Finance from the Pamplin School of Business at Virginia Tech, from 2005 to 2009.
