Carla Mears

Carla Mears is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in stakeholder engagement and corporate communications. Currently serving as a Senior Consultant in Stakeholder Engagement at the Department of Education, Western Australia since May 2024, Carla has previously held key positions, including Team Leader of Corporate Communications at Seqwater and various leadership roles at Queensland Rail, such as Media Team Leader and Team Leader of Government Relations. Earlier experience includes roles in media and communications at the Department of Education, Western Australia, and Queensland Rail, as well as multiple positions within the Department of Education and Training (Queensland). Carla holds a Bachelor of Communication with a focus on Public Relations from The University of Queensland, earned between 2010 and 2014.
