Michael Gilmour

Michael Gilmour serves as a College Manager at the Department of Education in Western Australia since January 2021 and has been a Board Member at Broome Senior High School since August 2022. With a background as a Property Investor at Gilmour Investments since December 2015, Michael also held the position of Director of Boarding at Whangarei Boys' High School between January 2019 and December 2020. Prior experiences include a College Manager role at Broome Residential College from January 2017 to January 2019, and serving as a Youth Development Specialist for Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga Trust from July 2013 to December 2016, focused on supporting at-risk youth. Michael began a career in corrections as a Prisoner Custody Officer with the Department of Corrections NZ from February 2010 to January 2013. Educational qualifications include a Certificate IV in Community Services – Student Residential Care obtained from Boarding Training Australia in 2017 and a study period at Eastern Institute of Technology from January 2019 to January 2021.
