Amir Roth is a seasoned technology manager at the U.S. Department of Energy, overseeing Building Energy Modeling tools within the Building Technologies Office since September 2010. With a strong academic background, Amir served as an Assistant and later Associate Professor at the University of Pennsylvania from 2001 to 2011, focusing on computer and information sciences and co-leading research initiatives. Earlier industry experience includes a research internship at Intel Corporation in 2000, where work involved load scheduling and memory dependence prediction, as well as a position as a software design engineer at Microsoft from 1994 to 1995, contributing to the Office95 Document Management group. Amir holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a BS in Physics and Computer Science from Yale University.
