Asha-Dee Celestine

Asha-Dee Celestine serves as the Technology Manager for Hydrogen Infrastructure Technologies at the U.S. Department of Energy since July 2020, specializing in composite materials, polymers, and hydrogen storage tank technologies, including project management for hydrogen R&D across various sectors. Previously, Asha-Dee held positions as an ORISE Science, Technology, and Policy Fellow at Auburn University, where responsibilities included instruction in aerospace engineering and outreach initiatives for underrepresented groups, and as an Assistant Professor focusing on multifunctional materials. Additional roles include postdoctoral research at Harvard University, analyzing composite behavior for oilfield applications, and experience as an Associate Scientist at Schlumberger. Asha-Dee earned a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, an MS in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Howard University.
