Gregory Siedschlag has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Gregory is currently serving as the Chief Communications Strategist for Home Energy Rebates at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) since 2023. Prior to this, Gregory worked at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in various roles. Gregory served as the Communications and Outreach Director for Indoor Air Quality from 2010 to 2023 and later became the Chief of Communications for Chemical Safety & Pollution Prevention. In this role, they led a restructuring of the communications unit and played a key role in the COVID response. Additionally, Gregory served as the Acting Chief for Sustainable Materials Management/Circular Economy and led the realignment of the national food waste reduction goal with United Nations' goal. Gregory also worked as the Communications Lead for Superfund, where they expanded the team and budget to effectively communicate human health and environmental risks. Before joining the EPA, Gregory worked as a Communication Coordinator for Wastewater Management and as a Program Analyst, providing leadership for oversight of state air, water, and hazardous waste programs. Prior to their government roles, they worked as a Policy Specialist for the Tennessee Environmental Council and as a Web Content Manager for Parthenon Publishing, where they managed communications and marketing campaigns for national healthcare and transportation clients. Overall, Gregory has a wide range of experience in communications, outreach, leadership, and policy analysis within the environmental and energy sectors.
Gregory Siedschlag holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and History from Cornell University. Gregory also has a Master of Public Policy degree from Georgetown University. In addition, they have obtained a Certification for Contracting Officer's Representatives Level II through the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
