Peter Olivares

Peter Olivares currently serves as a Fellow in the Office of State and Community Energy Programs at the U.S. Department of Energy, focusing on the High-efficiency Electric Home Rebate Program since January 2024. Prior to this role, Peter worked as a Recovery Manager for the Colorado Department of Local Affairs from July 2023 to January 2024. Educated at the University of Colorado Boulder, Peter earned a Masters in Energy and Environmental Policy with a specialization in climate policy and energy regulation, and also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health from James Madison University. Previous experience includes a Graduate Consultant position at the Colorado Office of Economic Development, where Peter developed an economic development strategy for Moffat County, and a Sr. Research Coordinator role at Northwell Health, facilitating a national clinical trial. Peter has also contributed to environmental assessments and research initiatives across various organizations, highlighting a robust background in energy policy and public health.
