Puesh Kumar

Puesh Kumar currently serves as the Director of the Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response at the U.S. Department of Energy, a position held since April 2021. Prior to this role, Puesh Kumar was the Principal Manager for Cybersecurity Engineering and Risk Management at Southern California Edison and has extensive experience in various leadership roles at the U.S. Department of Energy, focusing on cybersecurity policy and strategy. With a background in engineering from MLGW and the American Public Power Association, Puesh Kumar has contributed to improving energy infrastructure resilience, developing strategic policies, and managing risk within the energy sector. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and non-degree seeking graduate work in Business Administration at The University of Memphis.
