Shira Langer

Shira Langer is an experienced communications professional specializing in clean energy and environmental issues, currently serving as a Senior Communications Consultant at Akoya since November 2023. Langer has held a senior communications role within the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy since January 2022, while also managing clean energy initiatives at BCS, LLC, from January 2022 to November 2023. Previous positions include Senior Communications Specialist at EDF Action and the Environmental Defense Fund, where significant expertise in advocacy and communications was developed. Langer holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Sciences and Policy from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Politics and Psychology from the University of Maryland.
