Tim King serves as the Chief Information Security Officer at the U.S. Department of Energy since March 2024, following a tenure as Agency Cyber Officer at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency from May 2022 to March 2024. Previously, Tim held various leadership roles including Technical Infrastructure Branch Chief at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Chief of the Identity Management and Domain Services Branch at the U.S. Census Bureau. Tim's extensive experience in cybersecurity includes positions at the Defense Information Systems Agency, White House Communications Agency, and Leidos, where responsibilities ranged from managing cybersecurity initiatives to ensuring compliance with Department of Defense directives. Tim earned a Master of Science in Engineering/Industrial Management from the University of Central Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Technical Management from DeVry University, with a strong academic background in Information Systems Technology and Information Management from the Community College of the Air Force.
