Tivani Mashamba-Thompson

Tivani Mashamba-Thompson, PhD, serves as a Professor and Deputy Dean of Research and Postgraduate Studies at the University of Pretoria's Faculty of Health Sciences. Mashamba-Thompson holds various prominent positions, including Deputy Chairperson of the National Health Research Committee at the Department of Health South Africa, Director at MARTI-TB DIAGNOSTICS (PTY) LTD, and Board Member at the National Health Laboratory Service. Additionally, Mashamba-Thompson is recognized as an Honorary Professor and Associate Professor for the Discipline of Public Health Medicine at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, where responsibilities also include serving as the Academic Leader of Research for the School of Nursing and Public Health. Education includes a Global Clinical Research Training Program from Harvard Medical School and a CTN Postdoctoral Fellowship from the CIHR Canadian HIV Trials Network.
