Andrew Irwin serves as the Assistant Secretary Online Safety at the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts, a position held since September 2022. Previous roles include acting Assistant Secretary in the Strategy Branch and Specialist Adviser at the Department of Communications and the Arts from March 2018 to September 2020, as well as a/g Chief Economist. Andrew's extensive experience at the Productivity Commission from February 2003 to March 2018 includes serving as Inquiry Research Manager. Andrew holds an Honours degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in International Business, Trade, and Commerce, both obtained from The Australian National University between 1997 and 2002.
