James Talia

James Talia currently serves as the Executive Director of Strategic Communication at the Department of Justice and Community Safety in Victoria since April 2024. Previously, James held roles as Strategic Communications Project Lead and Acting Manager of Communications at the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority from February 2023 to April 2024. James also served as Acting Executive Director of Strategy and Risk and Director of Strategic Communication at COVID-19 Quarantine Victoria between March 2021 and December 2022. Other notable positions include State Politics Reporter at 3AW radio, Media Manager for the City of Melbourne, and Senior Media Adviser for the State Government of Victoria, contributing to the establishment of the Victorian anti-corruption commission and parole reform initiatives.
