Larissa Strong is an experienced professional in offender management and public health, currently serving as the Deputy Commissioner for Offender Management at Corrections Victoria within the Department of Justice and Community Safety since May 2016. Strong leads the rehabilitation and reintegration portfolio, focusing on cross-government reforms to improve service access and community safety. Previously, Strong worked as a Project Director for the Ten Year Mental Health Plan at the Department of Health and Human Services, developing a statewide suicide prevention framework and mental health implementation plans. Additionally, as Director of Justice Health at the Department of Justice and Regulation, Strong oversaw policy and program development for health services in the corrections system. Earlier, as Director of the Problem Gambling Strategy, Strong managed public health initiatives to reduce gambling-related harm. Strong holds an Executive Masters of Public Administration from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours in Political Science and Government from the University of Western Australia.
