William Bill Wiatrowski

Deputy Commissioner, BLS at Department of Labor

Bill Wiatrowski became Deputy Commissioner in 2015. He served as Acting Commissioner from January 2017 to March 2019. He previously served as Associate Commissioner of the Office of Compensation and Working Conditions from 2005 to 2015. Before that he was Assistant Commissioner for the Occupational Safety and Health Statistics programs and held a number of staff and supervisory positions in the BLS pay and benefit programs.

Mr. Wiatrowski received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and the History of Art from Yale University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the George Washington University. He is the author of numerous articles on employee benefits, compensation, and occupational safety and health issues and speaks on these topics before a wide range of audiences.
