Kathrine Morgan-Wicks

Kathrine Morgan-Wicks PSM serves as the Secretary of the Department of Premier and Cabinet in Tasmania since April 2024. Previously, Kathrine held significant roles in the Department of Health from September 2019 to April 2024, including Secretary and Head of Agency, Chair of the Health Chief Executives Forum, and Commissioner for Ambulance Tasmania. Prior experience includes serving as Secretary of the Department of Justice Tasmania and Deputy Secretary in the Budget and Finance Division of the Department of Treasury and Finance. Kathrine has contributed to various government boards, notably as Chair of the WorkCover Board and the Tasmanian Risk Management Fund. Early career experience includes senior executive roles at the Australian Securities & Investments Commission focusing on registry transformation and compliance, and as a solicitor at Mallesons Stephen Jaques. Academic qualifications include degrees in Law and Psychology from The University of Queensland, a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration from Melbourne Business School, and a Master of Laws from Queensland University of Technology.
