Michael Sessums

Michael Sessums is a seasoned Foreign Service Officer currently leading a Tiger Team at the U.S. Department of State, focusing on the reconstruction and hardening of Ukraine’s power grid. With extensive experience in public affairs and communications, Michael served as Managing Partner at IBEX Partners, LLC, and as a Public Affairs Advisor at Blockchain Labs. Previously, Michael held key positions at Burson-Marsteller as Managing Director and Senior Director in the Public Affairs and Crisis practice. Michael's career at the U.S. Department of State includes roles such as Senior Ukraine Advisor and Deputy Director for the Office of East Asian and Pacific Affairs. Michael's educational background includes a Master of Science in Security Studies from National Defense University and a BA in Political Science and German Studies from Emory University.
