Pierce McManus

Pierce McManus is an experienced digital communications professional with a strong background in storytelling and media engagement. Currently serving as a Digital Storyteller for the U.S. Department of State since March 2021, McManus leads the development of digital storytelling initiatives within the Bureau of Global Public Affairs. In addition, McManus co-hosts and produces for the Perfect Liars Club in DC since August 2015 and previously held roles such as Director of Digital Communications and Outreach at Newseum Education and Director of Marketing and Communications at DAI. Early career highlights include senior positions at Arnold Worldwide, USAID, and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. McManus holds an MA in International Communication and U.S. Foreign Policy from American University and a BA in Political Science and English Literature from SUNY Geneseo.
