Xiomara Vargas

Xiomara Vargas is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in public affairs, currently serving as a Senior Public Affairs Officer at the U.S. Department of State since October 2015. Vargas has held multiple roles within the Global Public Affairs Bureau, including Special Assistant and Senior Communications Consultant, where responsibilities included media analysis and drafting critical reports for senior officials. Prior experience includes a Senior Public Relations Associate position at Forex Capital Markets Inc., as well as various roles in public affairs and education, including an internship as a Political & Economic Affairs Analyst at the U.S. Department of State and teaching foreign languages through Teach for America.
