Mancha Marcia Maraka

Chief Director: Construction at Department of Water and Sanitation

Mancha Marcia Maraka currently serves as the Chief Director of Construction at the Department of Water and Sanitation since August 2012, leading the internal Construction Unit. Previously, Mancha held the position of Director of Construction Support at Johannesburg Water from September 2006 to July 2012, where responsibilities included site supervision and contract administration for water and sanitation projects. Early career experience includes roles as an Engineering Technician at SEMENYA FURUMELE CONSULTING and Senapelo Consulting Engineers, and as a Learner Technician at Vusi Mazibuko & Associates. Educational qualifications include a National Diploma in Civil Engineering from Tshwane University of Technology, a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering Technologies from the University of Johannesburg, a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Stellenbosch Business School, and currently pursuing a BSc Hons in Construction Management at the University of the Witwatersrand.
