Zandile Mnyandu, CFE, PhD Candidate, has a diverse work experience in various government and corporate organizations. In 2004, they began their career as a Special Forensic Investigator at the National Prosecuting Authority, focusing on Scorpions. Zandile then transitioned to the role of Risk Specialist in 2007.

In 2008, Zandile joined the City of Johannesburg as a Senior Manager, responsible for Security and Forensics. After two years, they moved on to Rand Water, where they served as the Head of Protection Services from 2010 to 2011.

Zandile then joined Transnet Port Terminals as a Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) in 2011. Their responsibilities included managing international ship and port facility security, contract management, monitoring of CCTV and fire systems, conducting threat and risk assessments, and managing sea border in the Port of Richards Bay. Zandile continued in this role until 2017.

Since 2017, Zandile has been working in the Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs department, serving as the Head of the Anti-Fraud and Anti-Corruption Directorate.

Throughout their career, Zandile has demonstrated expertise in fraud prevention, risk assessment, and forensic investigation. Zandile holds the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification and is currently pursuing a PhD.

Zandile Mnyandu is currently a PhD Candidate in Business Administration and Management, General at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, with an expected completion date in 2023. Zandile obtained a Master's Degree in Business Leadership & Strategy from the same university in 2016.

In terms of specialized certifications, Zandile received an NQF 8 certification in Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) from ACFE USA in 2022. Zandile also holds a Diploma in Risk Management (Cum Laude) from Oxbridge, earned in 2014.
