Kristin Claes Mathews

Kristin Claes Mathews is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in higher education and nonprofit sectors. Currently serving as the Sr. Director of Strategic Communications at DePaul University since September 2013, Kristin has held various roles, including Director of Media Relations and Assistant Director of News and Integrated Content, where responsibilities include writing feature stories, pitching to media, and producing multimedia content that supports the university's mission. Prior experience includes serving as Communications Manager for The CAASE, where Kristin led the communications strategy for an organization focused on addressing sexual violence, and as Senior Writer for the American Red Cross, crafting content and managing media relations during crises. Kristin holds a B.A. and M.A. in English from Saint Louis University.
