John Tan has extensive work experience in product and growth roles. John began their career in 2007 as the Founder of tashed.com. In 2012, they took on the role of Lead Content Strategist at Vocanic. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Growth Consultant at EuAPac Business Pro and an Acquisition Manager, Content at Sinch. In 2015, they took on the roles of Head of Growth and Growth, Web Product at Tobii. In 2017, they became Co-Owner, Europe at Plane Pal, and from 2018 to 2020, they held roles as Senior Product Manager, Growth at Zettle by PayPal, Product Lead, Growth at PayPal, and VP Product & Growth at Curb Food. Currently, they are VP Product at Depict.

In 2013, they attended Hyper Island and obtained a User Experience Lab, Design degree. In 2020, they attended Reforge and obtained a Product Strategy degree in Leadership. In 2021, they attended Harvard Business School Online and obtained a Disruptive Strategy degree in Organizational Leadership. Additionally, John Tan has obtained several certifications, including Product Leadership from Reforge in 2022, Product Strategy from Reforge in 2020, Retention + Engagement Deep Dive from Reforge in 2018, Professional Scrum Product Owner from Scrum.org in 2017, Inbound from HubSpot in 2017, Hubspot Marketing Software from HubSpot in 2016, and Digital Analytics from Google in 2015.
