Jérôme Maluenda has a diverse work experience in the field of biotechnology. From 2016 to present, they have been working as a Scientist and R&D Engineer at Depixus, formerly PicoSeq, a dynamic and young startup biotech company located in Paris. Jérôme's role includes utilizing the company's proprietary SIMDEQ technology platform to quantify and detect single RNA or DNA molecules as well as epigenetic modifications located on these molecules. From 2012 to 2016, they worked as a Research Engineer in Human Genetics on DNA microarray and NGS Platform at Inserm. In this role, they were in charge of the DNA Microarray plateform and performed linkage analysis on an undiagnosed affected family to find candidate loci. Jérôme also implemented the NGS platform, from DNA extraction to data analysis and result report for diagnostic purpose. In 2011, they completed a work placement in the R&D department at Cellectis, where they studied the impact of chromatin accessibility on meganuclease activity in-vivo. Finally, in 2009, they completed a work placement as a Laboratory Technician in Human genetics of Infectious diseases at INSERM U980. In this role, they were in charge of genetic screening of mendelian predisposition to infection in human to HSV-1.
Jérôme Maluenda obtained their Baccalauréat from Lycée Léonard de Vinci - Saint Michel sur Orge in 2006, specializing in mathematics. Jérôme then attended Sup'Biotech, école de biotechnologies from 2006 to 2011 and earned their degree as an Ingénieur in Health Research&Development.
