Nigel Skinner has over 35 years of work experience in various roles. Nigel began their career in 1986 as a Process Engineer at GEC Marconi. In 1994, they became a Senior Manager at CSEM, where they managed a laboratory of 8 PhD level scientists and 2 technicians. In 2000, they became a Senior Consultant at Sagentia, providing strategic technology consulting for multinational corporations. In 2001, they founded Ambrigen LLC, developing intellectual property and demonstrating technology feasibility. From 2002 to 2005, they worked at GE as a Business Development Manager, developing and managing strategic alliances with leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. From 2005 to 2007, they were a Business Area Director at Invitrogen, managing a product/service protein & assay portfolio. From 2007 to 2015, they worked at Agilent Technologies as Segment Marketing Director and Head of Business Development. From 2015 to 2018, they were Global Head (VP) of Scientific & Academic Research Marketing at Thomson Reuters. In 2018, they became Marketing Director at Andrew Alliance - A Waters Company. Nigel is currently the Head Of Product Management at Depixus.

Nigel Skinner has an extensive education history. Nigel obtained their PhD in Biotechnology from the University of Cambridge between 1990 and 1994. Nigel then went on to earn an MBA in Technology Management from The Open University Business School between 1998 and 2001. Nigel also holds a MEng in Engineering Physics from McMaster University, earned between 1988 and 1990. Nigel's earliest degree is a BSc in Materials Engineering from The University of Manchester, obtained between 1983 and 1986. Nigel also holds several certifications, including a Fellow from the Higher Education Academy obtained in April 2019, a NATO Standardised Language Profile in French from IOL EDUCATIONAL TRUST obtained in October 2018, a Digital Marketing certification from CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing obtained in April 2018, a Six Sigma Black Belt from GE obtained in January 2004, and a Chartered Engineer from The Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3) obtained in July 1997.
